The Personal Alcohol Tester is a compact, light and easy to use. It has a semiconductor-oxide sensor that provides accurate BAC readings, with no mouthpiece required. Just blow into the sensor and your BAC will be displayed on the LCD screen.
Instructions for Use:
1. Press the power button to turn the unit on. The device will start automatically to re-stabilise the alcohol sensor which takes generally between 30 seconds and 2 minutes. The warm up process is completed by the sound of two beeps, 'Wait' sign turns off and '0.00' is displayed on the LCD screen.
2. Blow a deep breath for at least 2 seconds however make sure your mouth is close to the unit.
3. The screen will display exact BAC value as follows
0.00% to 0.01% - One beep sound
0.02% to 0.04% - Two beep sounds
0.05% - Five second beep sound
4. The unit is ready for re-testing when '0.00' sign is on the screen (and 'Wait' sign has turned off).
5. 'Low battery' sign indicates the need for new batteries
Use ALKALINE BATTERIES only.
1. Allow at least 15 minutes after consuming alcohol before testing.
2. Enclosed rooms with low ventilation or air conditioning may increase the waiting period necessary between tests.
3. Saliva or alcohol contamination of the alcohol sensor will delay the reset time between tests. In the event of saliva or alcohol contamination, the unit can be gently shaken to encourage quicker sensor recovery.
